Santuario de los Mártires de Cristo Rey is set to become the largest sanctuary in the world once completed, standing as a monumental tribute to the martyrs of the Cristero War.

Spanning 16.5 hectares (1,991,324 ft²), the sanctuary will accommodate up to 12,000 people in its main assembly hall and an additional 50,000 in the atrium and front plaza. It will also feature facilities such as a hospital, a nursing school, and guest accommodations, creating a space that serves both spiritual and practical needs.

The stained glass windows are the work of renowned Benedictine monk and architect, Fray Gabriel Chávez de la Mora, adding a spiritual and artistic dimension to the sanctuary. This site pays homage to the many lives lost during the Cristero War, connecting with the historical and spiritual heart of Mexico. The project completes a symbolic triangle of holiness alongside the Cristo Rey Sanctuary and the Basilica of Guadalupe (Tepeyac), linking Mexico's religious heritage in a powerful way.
